For this project I had two packing goals: Pack light. Be prepared. For some trips, that's easy. Not the case for 4 countries, climates ranging from below freezing to 95 fahrenheit, varying cultural & modesty considerations, and so much more. Here's a video on what I brought and how I packed.
What I Packed
3 Shirts
- Long-sleeved purple button up with vents (REI)
- Half-sleeved blue quick-dry & wicking shirt (Icebreaker)
- Grey V-neck T-shirt (Target)
2 Tunics
- Long sleeved teal polyester flowy tunic (mid-thigh, butt covering)
- 3/4 Sleeve white and blue long tunic (just above knee) (H&M)
3 Bottoms
- One pair straight legged regular jeans
- One pair black athletic leggings (with zippered pockets)
- One pair black cotton leggings (for warmer weather)
Undergarments
- 4 pairs quick-dry underwear (Ex-Officio)
- 1 pair cotton underwear
- 1 quick-dry tank top (Ex-Officio)
- 1 regular, black bra
- 1 nude semi-padded sports-bra (Patagonia)
- 3 pairs wool socks (Smart Wool, Darn Tough)
Lounge Stuff
- 1 pair athletic shorts
- 1 pair scrub bottoms
Weather
- 1 long sleeve base layer shirt (REI)
- 1 flannel button-up shirt (Patagonia)
- 1 water-proof rain coat (North Face)
- 1 puffy jacket, rated to 32 degrees fahrenheit, with stuff sack
- 1 pair touch-screen gloves (Mountain Hardware)
- 1 Buff (REI)
Shoes
- Sturdy sandals with toe protection (Keen)
- 1 pair TOMS
- 1 pair hiking boots with gortex & ankle support (Vasque)
Not Shown
- 1 scarf (SO IMPORTANT)
- Assorted medical & first aid supplies
- Toiletries (I kept it pretty simple here)
- Electronics (dear god that will be a whole different post)
